The names of Alexander’s parents are unknown; based on the names of his children, his father’s name may be James. An Alexander Imry, son of James Imry, was born in Kinfauns, Perthshire in 17952<\/a><\/sup>National Records of Scotland, Old Parish Records, 1795 Births, 366 (Kinfauns), 10\/398<\/span>. However, this is some 50 miles east of Thornhill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margaret is possibly with her grandfather John Miller at West Hilltown, Cowie, Stirlingshire on the 1841 Census, employed as a Farm Servant15<\/a><\/sup>National Records of Scotland, 1841 Census, 488\/11\/5<\/span>. She is with her parents at Birkenshaw Farm on the 1851 Census.<\/p>\n

Margaret does not appear to be on the statutory registers of Marriages or Deaths, so it is possible that she may have died between 1851 and 1855.<\/p>\n\n\n
