John and Margaret were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of St. Ninian’s, Stirlingshire on 4 March 1792. Margaret was from the parish of Gargunnock, Stirlingshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John is at West Hilltown(?), Cowie, St. Ninian’s on the 1841 Census, described as of Independent Means. On the 1851 Census he is at Birkenshaw Farm, Eastwood, Renfrewshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John was a Tailor, according to his daughter’s death certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Janet married Alexander Imrie<\/a> (b. Thornhill, Perthshire c.1795). They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Kincardine, Perthshire on 12 January 1823 and in the parish of St. Ninian’s, Stirlingshire on the same date.<\/p>\n

Janet and Alexander are at Norriestown Farm, Kincardine on the 1841 Census and at Birkenshaw Farm, Eastwood, Renfrewshire on the 1851 Census.<\/p>\n

Alexander died at Birkenshaw Farm on 23 October 1853, age 58.<\/p>\n

Janet is at Birkenshaw Farm on the 1861 Census and at Auchenback Farm, Neilston, Renfrewshire on the 1881 Census.<\/p>\n

Janet died at Auchenback Farm on 28 August 1882, age 87.<\/p>\n\n\n
