Robert Dick<\/strong>, born Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1759.<\/p>\n\n\n

Robert’s parish and year of birth are estimated from the 1851 Census. A Robert Dick, son of John Dick, was born in the parish of Cambuslang on 30 November 1760, address unknown. The Cart Tax Rolls of 1788 and 1797 record a John Dick in Turnlaw. Also, Robert’s eldest son is named John.<\/p>\n\n\n

Agnes Alexander<\/strong>, born East Kilbride, Lanarkshire on 10 March 1782, daughter of John Alexander and Agnes Stevenson<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert and Agnes were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Cambuslang on 15 June 1805.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert and Agnes are at Turnlaw Farm, Cambuslang on the 1841 and 1851 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agnes, now widowed, is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1861 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agnes married Alexander Johnston<\/a> (b. Chapelside Farm, East Kilbride c.1796), son of John Johnston and Agnes Thomson<\/a>. They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of East Kilbride on 3 June 1827 and in the parish of Cambuslang on 12 June 1827.<\/p>\n

Agnes and Alexander are at Chapelside Farm on the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871 and 1881 Census.<\/p>\n

Alexander died at Chapelside Farm on 5 October 1883, age 87.<\/p>\n

Agnes died at Chapelside Farm on 25 May 1889, age 82.<\/p>\n\n\n

John Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire on 14 September 1809.<\/p>\n\n\n

John is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n

Robert Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1813<\/p>\n\n\n

Robert is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 and 1851 Census.<\/p>\n

Robert married Isabella Allison (b. Carmunnock, Lanarkshire c.1821), daughter of William Allison and Jean Findlay, in Carmunnock on 8 July 1858.<\/p>\n

Robert and Isabella are at Turnlaw Farm on the 1861, 1871 and 1881 Census.<\/p>\n

Robert died at Turnlaw Farm on 2 August 1882, age 69.<\/p>\n

Isabella is at 121 Raeberry Street, Barony, Glasgow on the 1891 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n

Marion Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1819<\/p>\n\n\n

Marion is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 Census.<\/p>\n

Marion married William Park (b. Carmunnock, Lanarkshire c.1818). They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of East Kilbride on 7 March 1847.<\/p>\n

Marion and William are at West Hills Farm, Carmunnock on the 1851 Census and at Lawmuir Farm, East Kilbride on the 1861 Census.<\/p>\n

Marion died in the Fever Hospital, Glasgow on 5 March 1873, age 55. Her usual address is 83 Taylor Street, Glasgow.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mary Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1823<\/p>\n\n\n

Mary is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n

James Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1825<\/p>\n\n\n

James is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 and 1851 Census.<\/p>\n

James married Mary Johnston (b. Cambuslang, Lanarkshire on 1 May 1827), daughter of William Johnston and Janet Duncan in Cambuslang on 11 July 1851.<\/p>\n

James and Mary are at Eastfield Farm, Rutherglen, Lanarkshire on the 1881 Census.<\/p>\n

James died at Eastfield Farm on 8 September 1887, age 62.<\/p>\n

Mary is at Eastfield Farm on the 1891 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n

Isabella Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1825<\/p>\n\n\n

Isabella is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 Census.<\/p>\n

Isabella married William Allison (b. Carmunnock, Lanarkshire c.1823).<\/p>\n

Isabella and William are at West Castleton Farm, Carmunnock on the 1851 and 1861 Census and at Clearbank Farm House, Stracathro, Angus on the 1871, 1881 and 1891 Census.<\/p>\n

Isabella, now widowed, is at Clearbank Farm House on the 1901 Census.<\/p>\n

Isabella died at Stracathro in 1903, age 80.<\/p>\n\n\n

Janet Dick<\/strong>, born in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1828<\/p>\n\n\n

Janet is at Turnlaw Farm on the 1841 and 1851 Census.<\/p>\n\n\n

Robert died at Turnlaw Farm on 8 August 1851, age 90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
